Users can only contact you via a form from this site. Your email is never given out directly. Once you have received a request or offer via the email contact form, you can choose whether to respond or not. Be aware that when you do respond to an email, the sender then has your email address! Therefore it pays to be selective. You can do a search for the user by clicking "find", "search for freebies", "users". There you learn more detail about the requester/offerer such as:
How long they have been a member
How many offers they've posted
How much kudos (appreciation and acknowledgment from other users) they've received.
Where they live.
All these factors can help you make your decision as to who seems most trustworthy of your offer or request.
